Between 3-5 PM, explore RSO tables, graze the delicious options from dining services, and attend tours of the Sustainable Student Farm, the Sustainable Student Gardens (our new teaching gardens), and the Woody Perennial Polyculture site. From 5-6 PM settle in with a plate and hear from our horticulture faculty in the College of ACES and from our collaborators both on and off campus, including the Illinois Arboretum, the Pilot Processing Plant, and Common Ground Food Co-Op. Finally, between 6-7 PM, we will offer an after-hours tour.

We will have two rounds of each tour to allow for as many interested parties as possible to attend. There will be an option to tour the SSF, our 5-acre working specialty crop farm that serves as a living laboratory space for SSF Summer Student Interns, Small Farm Certificate Program participants, and students of HORT 205 Local Food Systems and HORT 360 Vegetable Crop Production. A tour of the Sustainable Student Gardens, our new teaching garden, which will facilitate classroom education for several courses, will also be available. Additionally, a tour of the Woody Perennial Polyculture site will be given by a representative from the Savanna Institute. Please view the schedule and plan accordingly if you would like to attend all three tours.

University Housing is also providing continuous shuttles for University of Illinois students to and from the Sustainable Student Farm, LAR, and IKE residence halls from 2:30-6pm. The shuttle runs from LAR (circle drive on Lincoln) and IKE (northeast entrance/bus stop) to the Sustainable Student Farm. Please be aware that the final shuttle will leave at approximately 6 PM.

We ask that you enter at the gate on the gravel section of S. Lincoln near its intersection with E. Windsor. Parking will be available in the grass along the outside of the fence.

• 5:00-6:00 PM Hear about current projects from the SSF, HORT faculty, & our collaborators
• 6:00 PM Final return shuttle to campus
• 6:00-7:00PM After-hours tour of SSF and Sustainable Student Gardens (Teaching garden plots at the Illinois Arboretum)
