Sustainable Student Farm interns harvest produce for the Illinois campus community. Every year, they grow 40+ vegetable and fruit crops on the five acres of farmland on the U of I campus. Their harvest is served in campus dining halls, the SSF CSA, and at the SSF farm stand on the Main Quad among other outlets on and off campus. The student workers learn about how to plant, cultivate, and harvest using low-input and organic practices.
