Get Fresh! Seasonal Food Program

Get Fresh! is a seasonal foods program that aims to increase the availability, accessibility, and consumption of fresh, local produce and goods on campus.

In addition to a sample of local goods from Common Ground Food Co-op and fresh produce from the Sustainable Student Farm, you will also receive recipe packets, educational handouts curated by the McKinley Health Center and a reusable tote bag.

There are several opportunities to participate throughout 2025. Tentative dates are: February 5th–26th, July 9th-30th, Sept 4th-Oct 2nd, and Oct 9th-Nov 6th.

Pick-up is from 3:30-5:30 PM every Wednesday during each session at the ARC Well-being Lounge 201 E Peabody Dr, Champaign, IL 61820.

Sign-ups open in the weeks leading up to each session. Available slots for each session are limited and sign-ups are on a first come, first served basis.

Pricing depends on the number of pick-ups per session. Price for four-week sessions are as follows- students: $60; non-students: $75.

Register for Get Fresh! through the Active Illini Portal and enjoy accessible and sustainable produce and local products, without even having to leave campus!

What’s included each week:

  • a reusable tote bag and a coupon from Common Ground Co-op (received on the first pick-up only)
  • 3 kinds of fresh produce from the Sustainable Student Farm
  • 3-5 samples of locally sourced products provided by the Common Ground Co-op
